Grab the popcorn, cause there are a lot of Christmassy stuff to watch this year
94 new Christmas movies, to be exact. At least that is what Entertainment Weekly is saying. I am sure that there are a lot of holiday gems amongst them, but what I wanna talk about is a new Netflix show called Dash & Lily.
Let’s talk about “When Calls The Heart“. The show has been running for 7 seasons now and has enchanted us with heart-felt and simple story lines. To me, it is an escape into another era with more pure values that allows me to forget my everyday hardships. Nevertheless, the plot that we have watched all season – the love triangle between Nathan, Elizabeth and Lucas, was nothing original. We have observed a similar situation even in the spin-off series – “When Hope Calls“. And we have seen the final twist in previous seasons of not only this show, but others as well. Which made the finale the biggest cliche of all.
In my country subscription sites such as Netflix are not that popular due to the fact that you can find and download almost anything for free from the Internet. The reason I tuned in to the website was that I couldn’t find Cable Girls anywhere else dubbed in English. Which for me at the time was good enough reason to pay 7,99 Euros per month for Netflix. Two years in and with the first part of the Cable Girls final season out, I am questioning that decision.
